EXHIBITIONS

The European Quilt Championships took place in 't Hazzo in Waalre (The Netherlands) from Thursday 19th - Sunday 22nd October 2006.

The theme of the championship was "Dream" that brought out all the imagination of artists from all around the world who made creations in different categories: Dreams, ‘Traditional’ or ‘Non-Theme’. Within these categories there is a special place for quilts made with the ‘Longarm Quilting Machine’. Mrs Okyar was in the "Dreams" category.

Mrs Okyar's Imperial Legacy: Sparkling Tulip was qualified by an international jury of quilt experts to be exhibited and was accepted to enter the contest as well. Representing Turkey in an international event is a pride that Mrs Okyar remembers with satisfaction.
